5 Signs the Second Coming of Jesus Christ is Near
The beginning of the end
Just before His death, the disciples asked Jesus what the signs of His second coming would be. “The disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?” (Matt.24:3) . Jesus explained that the world would look different at that time, and there would be obvious events that lead to his return. Daniel, the end-time prophet, encountered an angel who had a similar message from God about a distant future that would look different. “But Daniel, keep this prophecy a secret; seal it up so that it will not be understood until the end times when travel and education shall be vastly increased!”(Da. 12:4). In Daniel's day, walking was the transportation of choice; today rockets penetrate outer space.
Advance technology
1) Technology is an obvious sign of the end time. Autonomous intelligence can capture and assimilate information without the aid of a programmer. Every time we enter any data on our devices, a supercomputer captures it and shares it with other supercomputers. Maybe you've noticed that if you scan an item on Amazon, within a few minutes other retailers will market it on your device. It’s the kind of control a world dictator needs to corral a population. “The second beast also forced all people, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to have a mark put on their right hand or their forehead. No one could buy or sell without this mark.”(Rev. 13:16-17) The technology to achieve world domination is firmly embedded in our computer-controlled environment.
Obsessions with sex
2) Sexual Deviation, is the accepted lifestyle of a lost world. When God created Eve to be Adam's life-mate He intended them, he and she, to be fruitful partners for a lifetime. “Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.” “ God blessed them and said to them, “Have many children. Fill the earth and take control of it.” (Gen. 2:24-1:28) Unfortunately, sexual deviation has been a part of life since before the flood of Noah, but only one other time in history has it been so depraved that God decided to start over again. In the days before the great flood, the inhabitants of the earth had stooped to the lowest level of their young existence. Every person's mind was continually on evil. “And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.”(Gen. 6:5) It was so wicked that spirits from another world participated in the depravity.“ In those days, and even afterward, when the evil beings from the spirit world were sexually involved with human women, their children became giants, of whom so many legends are told. When the Lord God saw the extent of human wickedness, and that the trend and direction of men’s lives were only towards evil,”(Gen. 5:4-5). Three thousand years later, Jesus referred to the days of Noah when explaining the second coming to his disciples. “But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.”(Matt. 24:37). In today's progressive culture, sexual deviation is not only practiced but encouraged as an alternate way of life.
Lack of faith
3)The beginning of the end starts with a decline in Bible believers. The decline of the Christian faith is a sure sign the end of the age is approaching. The Church age will end with the Devil's surrogate sitting in the temple of God claiming to be God. “ Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. (2 Thes.2:3) There are many Christian traditions people identify with, most are not Bible-based, just useless lip service. “ This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.”(Matt.15:8) The true believer believes the Bible is the infallible Word of God. “ Jesus answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”(Matt. 4:4) This is the kind of Christian faith that is in serious decline. The Bible is the Spirit of God in written form and must be accepted for what it clearly states.
Revised Europe
4) As I write this article Russia has invaded its neighbor Ukraine with a powerful war machine. If they succeed with the cowardly land grab it will likely change the European landscape as we know it. The Russian invasion of Ukraine could have a profound impact on Europe. Daniel, the End time prophet, was given a look into the final days of the last age. The final ten-nation alliance will be the most powerful on earth for a short time. Whatever the outcome of the present Russian-Ukraine war, Russia will live to fight another war on the mountains of Israel that will end in her destruction. Read “The Ruin of Russia”. Today's war in Ukraine will serve to strengthen NATO, the forerunner of the final ten-nation confederacy.
Natural disasters
5) Climate change has become a favorite political platform in recent years. It would be hard to deny that atmospheric conditions aren't changing. Whether natural climate cycles or man-induced, it doesn’t matter; atmospheric conditions will worsen as the end of the age nears. Jesus made it clear to his disciples that the atmosphere would become increasingly violent in the end. “There will be great earthquakes, and famines in many lands, and epidemics, and terrifying things happening in the heavens.”(Luke 21:11) When was the last time we witnessed a storm with hailstones weighing 100 pounds? “and there was an incredible hailstorm from heaven; hailstones weighing a hundred pounds fell from the sky onto the people below, and they cursed God because of the terrible hail.”(Rev. 16:21) Severe weather events will be part of our future, and no effort by men to change things will override what has already been prophetically forecast.
The key to end-time prophecy
These 5 signs would be meaningful on their own, but the fact they are happening at the same time can’t be ignored. They follow the most important sign of our time, the restoration of modern Israel, A manifestation predicted by numerous Bible authors. "I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.” (Jeremiah 30:3) Although Bible prophecy is not studied by many Christians, it represents 25% of Bible verses, far too important to be ignored. “And when you see these things happening that I’ve described, you can be sure that my return is very near, that I am right at the door.” (Mark 13:29) We are given a glimpse into the future to prepare us for coming events. “ In the same way, when you see the events taking place that I’ve described, you can be just as sure that the Kingdom of God is near.” (Luke 21:31) Be a part of the world to come! If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. (Ro. 10:9)
