What in the World is Wrong?

As we move into the next decade, many of the last decade's questions still remain unanswered. Why does it seem like time is flying by at an exponential speed? Could it be the rapid increase in technology the angel spoke to Daniel about when describing the end of time? “But Daniel, keep this prophecy a secret; seal it up so that it will not be understood until the end times when travel and education shall be vastly increased!” (Dan. 12:4) Are we rushing to the final judgment? There are 10 official wars and 8 active military conflicts recognized by the United States. There are many other smaller but violent conflicts involving 64 countries and 576 militias and separatist groups armed for war. Russia, Iran and Turkey are forming a powerful alliance that resembles the prophetic end-time coalition. As I write this article, the new Russian alliance is participating in navy war games with China, a threatening country identified in Bible prophecy as the king of the east. Why is the world arming for war? Jesus was clear when he spoke about wars that create famine, disease and persecution at the end of the age. “And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.” (Matt. 24:6-7).  71 million people have been forcibly displaced in the world today. 37,000 people are forced from their home or country daily because of conflict and persecution.

Why, when education, technology and medical science have mushroomed beyond expectation are we still killing each other? Crime continues to overwhelm many inter-cities as well as impoverished nations around the world. Gangs run rampant through these areas with more firepower than law-enforcement. In Mexico, entire states are controlled by drug cartels. Why does the evening news always lead with some type of random carnage? With all the research and attention given to mental illness why cant we solve the social issues of the day? Depression, hopelessness, suicide and racism are no closer to a resolution. It would seem that social problems are unsolvable! Could it be that human nature is so corrupt it will take a rebirth to make it right? “In the last days, it is going to be very difficult to be a Christian. For people will love only themselves and their money, they will be constant liars and troublemakers and will think nothing of immorality. In fact, evil men and false teachers will become worse and worse.”(2 Tim.3)

If we know the future, we can better understand the present! To know the future is to simply read and believe the prophetic Word of God.“In the beginning, I told you what would happen in the end. A long time ago, I told you things that have not happened yet. When I plan something, it happens.”(Isa. 46:10) Since we live at the end of this age the Bible has had ample opportunity to prove its-self. Bible prophecy has been dragged through the fire of cynicism and come through unscathed. All early prophecy that can be traced historically has come to pass. The last major prophecy fulfilled was the rebirth of Israel which set into motion the last days.“I will take you out of those nations, gather you together, and bring you back to your own land.”(Ezek.36:24)  All of the negative world conditions today have been predicted. For believers, these adverse signs only represent the birth pangs of a new world. Although world conditions will not be improving in the near future believers can rest assured their prospects are very bright. Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs, and don’t forget to thank him for his answers.  If you do this, you will experience God’s peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will keep your thoughts and your hearts quiet and at rest as you trust in Christ Jesus.”(Phil.4:6) For more about the end of this age and the world to come read “Beam me up Commander” it's free!
