The Beginning of Israeli Sorrows

The Beginning of Israeli Sorrows

Jesus was asked a direct question “what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?” (Matt.24:3) The question was about his second coming. His answer was graphic! “Ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.  Because lawlessness is increased, the love of most people will grow cold.  All these are the beginning of sorrows.”(Matt. 24:6-14) All of the events Jesus predicted have been part of human history to one degree or another since the first man sinned. What makes his answer different is the end of the age timeline. The question was asked by Jewish disciples who believed Jesus would leave and then come again in their lifetime. Jesus was put to death a short time later by the Roman occupation who later dispersed and scattered the Jews throughout the world effectively ending ancient Israel as a country. In 1948 they were supernaturally reunited to become the modern nation they are today. This event is the beginning of the timeline Jesus is referring to. What affects Israel today impacts the entire world. The second coming of Jesus could only occur after the rebirth of modern-day Israel.

Today, hostile nations surround Israel with the intent to destroy her at all cost. They are armed with lethal weapons of mass destruction and in full pursuit of nuclear arsenals. Russia has allied with the smaller Islamic countries of the Middle East supplying them with the war materials necessary for a future invasion. Rumors from the far east trouble the world as China’s 200 million-man army begins to flex its muscle. In the U.S. lawlessness has become the new normal. Gangs control all inter-cities, they peddle drugs to suburbia to finance their strongholds. The new lawless normal is spreading rapidly throughout the free world. We have just spent 2 years combating a pestilence that changed the way we live, and we have been cautioned that more is on the way. Earthquakes, volcanos, severe weather conditions are all a part of the notice Jesus gave his disciples regarding the turbulent time of his second coming.

It's time to put away all the warm and fuzzy church services and face the hard facts. We have moved past the hugs and kisses and stepped into reality. The Bible is the absolute truth and predicts a gloomy picture of the near future. Our present generations are bible characters of the end times. World conditions are not going to improve, just the opposite, they will continue to spiral out of control. No president, imam, dictator, or psychic has a solution, only Jesus has the answer to the troubles ahead. “Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”(John 14:6) Jesus is God in the flesh, He was crucified for the redemption of humankind. Our part in the redemption plan is to simply believe Him.“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in your heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”(Rom. 10:9) For more about the second coming of Jesus Christ read “Study more-lesson 3
