The Age of Apocalypse

The Bible is a remarkable collection of books written by God-inspired authors covering an earthly duration of 7,000 years. It describes the beginning and the end of the Earth's present existence with extraordinary continuity. Ages refer to periods of Bible history, both past and future. End-time events began with the rebirth of Israel in 1948. We now live in Apocalypse, the final phase of the end of time as we know it. The Apocalypse was revealed to the Apostle John in the last book of the bible.“The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave to him, to show to his servant's things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel to his servant John: Who bare record of the word of God, and the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw. Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.”(Rev. 1:1-3) John was given a preview of the world out of control. In his vision, John saw the return of Jesus Christ with the armies of Heaven to save the world from oblivion. For ages past, the book of Revelation would not be thoroughly understood because it characterized such a reprehensible time of human history. They failed to understand the Age of Apocalypse, is in fact, a new beginning. That is why those who read and hear and hold dear the words of this prophecy are blessed for the time is at hand.

The Apocalypse reveals the end of the Church Age and the beginning of the reign of Christ on Earth. The church is noticeably absent from the book of Revelation after the third chapter. Something miraculous happens to all believers who are alive and have received Jesus as savior, they are caught away and taken to heaven. What takes place between the rapture of the church and the reign of Christ is a literal battle of Good against Evil carried out on Earth in real-time. The conflict lasts seven years before Jesus returns to put down the rebellion.  During this dark period of Apocalyptic upheaval, two-thirds of the earth's population is destroyed by war, famine, plagues, and natural disasters. These are non-believers who hate God and side with Hell to do battle. The one exception is a body of martyrs who are saved out of the 7 years of tribulation. No other time in history has All the pieces of the Apocalyptic puzzle been in place as they are today.

This article is written not to frighten you but to simply address those things coming on the Earth that cannot be avoided. The purpose is to provide a better understanding of events that are inspired by Hell and encourage you to search the scriptures for yourself. “ They received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.”(Acts 17:11) Jesus gave us a clear warning about the days ahead when he said “And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.”(Luke 21:28) For more about the end of the age read “Study More  lesson 3/the end of the age”
