The Truth About The Devil

It is said that if "you know your enemies and know yourself, you can win a hundred battles without a single loss.” This quote is taken from the treatise Art of War, an ancient Chinese military tactic, that still resonates with contemporary armies today. The fundamental strategy implies that if you know your enemies’ strengths and weaknesses, as well as your own, your chances of success are significantly increased. When you pursue the truth and nothing but the truth as your life ambition, you have made an enemy of hell; thereby, signing a declaration of war. It is important that you take this very seriously and learn what there is to know about your adversary. To know something about the ruler of darkness will give you a distinct advantage in preparation for the conflict.  

It may surprise you to know that Lucifer, AKA the devil, a pseudonym for evil, was once a trusted companion of God. He was a magnificent creation, perfect in all his ways. He held positions of prominence, handsome in stature, extremely smart and very persuasive. “You were the perfect man—so full of wisdom and perfectly handsome. (Ezekiel 28:12)

What he is not is a fictitious storybook character. He is the master of deception able to operate in both the spiritual and material dimensions. His ambition is to rule an eternal empire using the fallen races as his subjects. Earth makes a productive recruiting office for his ambitious plot. He rules the business, social, political, and religious activities of the majority of mankind. Lucifer is not alone in his quest for eminences. As a testament to his charismatic personality, he persuaded countless angels to follow him in his hopeless effort to overthrow Heaven. “How you are fallen from heaven,O Lucifer] son of the morning? You have said in your heart: I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God.”(Isaiah 14:12,13)

Satan has many battle tactics including but not limited to the spread of doubt and unbelief. The power of his kingdom is a denial of the truth. With this simple tactic, He has managed to control the majority of mankind. The just will live by faith in every word that God speaks. Those that live by sight with self-gratifying ambitions are easy targets for the agents of hell and will be deceived. Remember, Lucifer is a created being. He has no power to create something from nothing. The best he can do is to contaminate. His agents move about freely in our world through an unseen dimension. Their mission is to persuade a helpless race that God is not necessary. If he can cause you to doubt God, he will control your life.
