Racial Tension

Not long ago in a large Midwest City, a self-proclaimed Jew-hater walked into a Jewish community center where he shot and killed three people. His motivation, “I hate Jews. ”This incident along with recent attacks against innocent police officers is a sure sign of increasing racial tension and the degeneration of civilized man. 250,000 racially related hate crimes happen every year in the US alone. No one ethnic group is responsible for all racial crimes; there seems to be enough hatred to go around.

We have spent billions of taxpayer dollars on failed legislation sponsoring countless programs to solve impossible problems. Proving, again and again, you cannot legislate acceptance or love. These qualities are matters of the heart and aren't negotiable. There was a time in the ancient past when all men were the same culture, lived in the same area and spoke the same language. They were smarter and far more capable than modern men, able to do anything they could imagine. “These people all speak the same language. And I see that they are joined together to do this work. This is only the beginning of what they can do. Soon they will be able to do anything they imagine" (Genesis 11:6) But for all their worldly wisdom and ability they lacked one very important attribute, favor with God. They loved and worshipped the creation more than the Creator, forsaking their love of God to follow bogus science. God dealt with this ungrateful body of people by splitting them up and sending them in different directions with different languages. Over time they became different nationalities (races) with different mores. But their hearts remained the same, void of God, full of themselves.

The US is currently engaged in 74 wars, not including covert hostilities throughout the world. Most of these wars have three things in common: race, religion and ideology; sadly there is no end in sight. Racal tension is sparked and fueled by the unseen enemy of men, the prince of darkness who uses sinful man in a pathetic effort to overthrow Heaven. "Our fight is not against people on earth. We are fighting against the rulers and authorities and the powers of this world’s darkness. We are fighting against the spiritual powers of evil in the heavenly places." (Ephesians 6:12)  It’s a spiritual attack carried out in the material world.  Bullets, bombs, and legislation will not slow the hatred. A change of heart is the only antidote. Personal relations with Jesus Christ will shed light on the darkness and end the hatred.
