The Burden of Love

Like all universal laws, love transcends celestial boundaries. It is the one dynamic most commonly related to God.  (For God is love) Love was the motivation for the creation of all things. “For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him.”(Col. 1:16). Universal law is the governance of the creation and love is the power that sustains all things universal. Since we can only view the spiritual dimension with tinted glasses and since God is a spirit and lives in the spirit realm we must accept universal law by faith. All the citizens of creation both spirit and material have free wills. They can decide for themselves whether or not to accept the law. If this was not so God's nature would be tyrannical rather than loving. Lucifer understood this variant well because he was an honored member of God's original governing body before he chose to deny the Creator is greater than the creation.  That is why he and his followers have no hope for redemption. The universal law of God is perfect in all its ways and runs by the dynamism of love. “Love does no wrong to anyone. That’s why it fully satisfies all of God’s requirements. It is the only law you need.”(Rom. 13:10) According to this verse, we need only to abide In the love of God to fulfill all requirements necessary for redemption. “ For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”(John 3:16)

The universal law of God has been broken twice, once by Lucifer the fallen ark angel, and once by Adam the fallen man. In both cases, God's love was challenged in the balance. Both Adam and Lucifer walked and talked with God daily. They fully understood His eminence and embraced His love, and yet, disobeyed His word. They became self-centered, full of pride in the life God had given them. The consequences were devastating, they became the worm in the apple corrupting Heaven and earth with untenable sin and by necessity establishing the “law of sin and death.” (Rom. 8:2) “You must not even touch that tree, or you will die.”(Gen.3:3) God had no choice but to enforce the universal law. If God were to renege on His own law he could no longer be trusted therefore there could be no exceptions.

The nature of God has no equivalent, love is more powerful than sin. The only way He could redeem His creation without breaking the universal law was to provide a scapegoat innocent of sin. God, himself, would have to suffer the penalty of death. He would exercise the burden of love for the sake of creation. His death on the cross would forgive all the sins of mankind in the ultimate act of love. “Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.”(Luke 23:34) When people receive the gift of love from God they are redeemed from the penalty of death by sin. As a bonus, we receive the nature of God, the most powerful dynamic in the universe. We must be willing to use it. Peter asked Jesus this very telling question. “Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.”(Matt. 18:21-22) In other words, forgiveness has no limit. If you are a person willing to forgive, you will find there is no alternative to be used against you. For more about the nature of God read “Beam me up Commander” it's free.
