The Knowledge of God

The COVID-19 virus has provided a fair amount of extra time for most people to pursue endeavors beyond their normal routines. Paint the house, read a good book or just do some things they haven't had time for in the past. And yet, most remain indifferent toward God, not interested in uncovering the mysteries of the Bible. Since the Word of God is the absolute truth you would think this is an excellent time to pursue the knowledge of God. In the distant past, God looked into the future with an omnipresent preeminence and saw a time when people would no longer be attentive to His ways. “They spend their time singing and dancing. They are wealthy and need to deny themselves nothing; they are prosperous to the end.  All this even though they ordered God away and wanted no part of him and his ways.”(Job.21:13-14) We are a generation preoccupied with ourselves, serving the creation more than the Creator. “Instead of believing what they knew was the truth about God, they deliberately chose to believe lies. So they prayed to the things God made, but wouldn’t obey the blessed God who made these things.”(Rom. 1:25) More people trust science, (the pursuit of acquired truth) rather than God (the embodiment of truth).

We are more connected to our smartphones than we are to the God of the universe. Networks like TikTok pre-occupy the minds of seven-year-olds feeding them garbage and teaching them lewd dancing routines. This is the science that has replaced the knowledge of God. “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.”(Hosea. 4:6) Children are the victims of our lack of knowledge. There is an ever presence of evil that clutters the minds of people today that can only be overcome with a knowledge of God. “The weapons we use are not human ones. Our weapons have power from God and can destroy the enemy’s strong places. We destroy people’s arguments, and we tear down every proud idea that raises itself against the knowledge of God.”(2 Cor. 10:4-5) The human race is spiraling out of control at warp speed because we refuse to acknowledge God's instruction. “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” (Prov. 1:7)

The future of our children is a stake, will you be the parent, brother, or sister, or just a friend that teaches our children about God? “I have never stopped thanking God for you. I pray for you constantly, asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you the wisdom to see clearly and understand who Christ is and all that he has done for you.”(Eph. 1:17) There is a promise for those who seek the knowledge of God.“Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and Jesus our Lord.” (2 Peter 1:2) For more about the knowledge of God read “Beam me up Commander” it’s free.
