The Retribution of Damascus

With the care of a surgeon's scalpel, the war machines of the United States, Britain, and France carved up the deadly gas facilities of Damascus. It was a response to the illegal use of chemical weapons against innocent civilians. Although the strike was limited, it was a sign of things to come in a world at war. There are two surefire Biblical principles at work in war, “sowing and reaping” and “retribution.” The principle of sowing and reaping simply stated, “sow war, reap war.” Be not deceived; for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.(Gal.6:7) Retribution is a little more complicated. Hell is the provocateur of war, but God will use the tools of Hell to assist in His ultimate purpose. “Vengeance is Mine, and retribution, In due time their foot will slip; For the day of their disaster is at hand, And their doom hurries to meet them.”(Deu. 32:35) Governments of Earth rest-assure your aggression will be met with retribution!

As the storm clouds of discontent gather, nations have armed themselves in preparation for wars of such a destructive magnitude that life on Earth is placed in jeopardy. God is not the cause of war as some men suggest. God is in the business of healing what men have corrupted. “But God has decided to make that terrible time short. If it were not made short, no one would continue living.” (Matt 24:22) War is hatched in Hell, and then corrupt men are used like pawns on a chessboard to carry out the diabolical plan. The final hour of this dispensation has begun, all the players are in place. Coming war is the result of Hell’s last stand. Jesus said a world at war was a sign of his coming and the beginning of the end. You will hear about wars that are being fought. And you will hear stories about other wars beginning. But don’t be afraid. These things must happen before the end comes.”(Matt. 24:6)

If you are a follower of Jesus, then you are a child of God and a joint heir with Christ. “And if we are His children, then we are His heirs also: heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ. (Ro. 8:17) These world events, as troubling as they seem, are only welcome signs of the second coming of Jesus who will stop the rebellion and end the wars. Your name has been entered into the Lamb's book of life, and you are on the way to eternal service in the government of God. Jesus left this word of comfort for his brothers and sisters. “Do not be afraid and anxious, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.”(Luke 12:32) For more about your service in the Kingdom of God read “Beam me up Commander” its free!
