 About The Liberated Woman

Last January, an estimated 5 million women worldwide marched in protest targeting everything from immigration reform to freedom of religion with an emphasis on women's rights. A little more than a month later another march was organized celebrating Women's Day calling it “A Day Without Women.”  In general, the goal was to bring attention to the inequality of the modern woman. There should be no doubt; many women feel they are discriminated against in a society founded on equality. “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” Unfortunately the definition of liberated has been skewed and easily confused with liberty.  

The Bible's model of a liberated woman may surprise you. She is a wife and mother first. “Her husband depends on her. He will never be poor. She never causes him trouble. Her husband brags about her and says, there are many good women, but you are the best. Her children say good things about her.” She is a businesswoman and  property owner. “She looks at land and buys it. She uses the money she has earned and plants a vineyard. She works very hard. She works late into the night to make sure her business earns a profit.”  She is a giver, and not a taker. “She wakes up early in the morning, cooks food for her family, and gives the servants their share. She always gives to the poor and helps those who need it.” This liberated woman is a strong and wise teacher. “ She is a strong person, and people respect her. She looks to the future with confidence. She speaks with wisdom and teaches others to be loving and kind.”  Above all, she loves and respects the Lord. “Grace and beauty can fool you, but a woman who respects the Lord should be praised.” As you can see she doesn’t have time to march. (Prov. 31:10-31)

A conspiracy designed by the prince of darkness for the purpose of dividing man and woman is at hand. The method is a contemptible disregard for God's divine order. “So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.”(Matt. 19:6) Today's modern woman movement is doing more to undermine God's plan for traditional family values than any ploy to date. The tactic is, divide and conquer. The plan is to pit woman against man starting in the home and carrying through every walk of life. Jesus said, “a family that is divided will not survive.”(Mark 3:25) today's genuinely liberated woman is one that knows the truth. Liberty is not found in women's organizations and movements but, “ where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.”(Cor.3:17) For more about true liberation read “Beam me up Commander” or Study More.
